The Baiersbronn holiday hotel Bareiss now has two Villegiature Awards: the “Grand Prix of the Best Resort in Europe 2012” in the Premium Category and the “Best Breakfast in a Hotel  in Europe 2012” in a Special Category. The Bareiss is thus a member of an elite group totalling five award-winning hotels, including the Hotel de Paris (Monte Carlo), the Hyatt Regency (Tokyo) and the Diamonds Star of the East (Tanzania). And, in the 12 Special Categories, it is in the company of institutions such as the Plaza Athénée and the Bristol (both in Paris) or Dukes (London), among others. The elitist and challenging  prize is awarded by an independent jury of 22 journalists  from leading newspapers and magazines, e.g. Figaro, the Observer, the Corrierre della Sera, DIE ZEIT, Harper’s Bazaar, and Vogue.
