Hermann Bareiss named the hotel after his family in 1992. The few enquiries about conferences received by the Kurhotel Mitteltal had already been turned down since the 70s. With the creation of the Shopping Passage in the late 80s and, above all, with the building of the Kindervilla Kunterbunt in the mid-90s, the alignment towards a holiday and family hotel became increasingly clear: the Bareiss is a hotel for three generations. Many of the guests have been coming here since the 50s, initially with their children, now with their grandchildren.
