The Bareiss celebrated its 50th birthday in 2001. And in 2003 Hermann Bareiss bought the Morlokhof, built in 1789, which is enthroned high above Mitteltal and awaited its reawakening. Hermann Bareiss had it carefully restored, almost to its original state, and continuously uses it for events and parties. The fact that during renovation, valuable testimony of the Morloks (the faith-healing family that lived here for generations) was uncovered contributes to the site's special magic.
