Hotel Bareiss: The 1980's

The Bareiss family enters its third generation.

The 80s were also a time of change. Right at the start of the decade, Christian Bareiss (born in 1978) welcomed the birth of his brother Hannes. The gourmet Restaurant Bareiss was created with a kitchen of its own. Opened in December 1982, it was already awarded a Michelin star the following year and received the second one in 1984. The Sauna facilities were modernised and generously expanded. The freshwater open-air pool was created with a large reclining area, and the leisure centre and Shopping Passage were opened in the hotel basement. The penthouse floor was constructed in the hotel's central area.
