Wednesday, September 8th Picnic-Walk to the “Langenbrunnen” lake The walk starts in the Kniebis village, at 1000 m altitude, and goes downhill on the “Salzlecker” path to the “Langenbrunnen” lake. There our Holiday Program Team will welcome you at the hut by the lake with a culinary surprise. After the strengthening meal the walk takes us along the deer reservation to the “Bärensclössle” in Christophstal. On a clear day, this hike offers magnificent views at the Black Forest, its mountains, valleys and lakes. Monday, September 13th Tour de Murg with Thierry Dhyvert! Beautiful bike tour through the romantic Valley of the river “Murg”. We start from Mitteltal and drive over Baiersbronn through Schönmünzach till Forbach. On our way back we take the train till Baiersbronn. Length: aprox 33 km or longer if you want. Sunday, September 18th "Autumn Cooking Seminar": New creations and favourite classic dishes with potatoes, mushrooms and pumpkin supply the theme for our popular cooking week from September 19th - 23rd, 2010 with our Executive Chef Oliver Steffensky. Wednesday, September 22nd Walk with forester Hermann Rastetter: “On the steps of Forester Jakob Bareiss” We start at Kniebis (940m) and pass the “Ellbachseeblick” and the “Seehalde”and take the route to the hill of “Kniebis”. After we had a beautiful view over the Black Forest we walk back to Mitteltal. Wednesday, September 29th Golf Excursion to La Wantzenau Today’s programme foresees a visit to La Wantzenau golf course in the Alsace with Hermine Hartmann. This wonderful, highly enjoyable facility possesses varied approaches passing through woodland, with water bunkers and wide fairways. Friday, October 1st Round Table with Hannes Bareiss: our Junior Boss tells the story of the beginning of the hotel Bareiss and the family history. Meeting place in the “Dorfstuben”. As the number of participants is unfortunately limited, we feel impelled to request your reservation. Monday, October 4th Veteran car journey with Paul Finkbeiner to Sasbachwalden. A beautiful trip to Sasbachwalden, which is known as a romantic flower- and wine-village and was elected most beautiful village of Germany a few years ago. Wednesday, October 6th The Duo Melodia will present zither and guitar music for you in our Dorfstuben following your delightful evening menu. Monday, October 11th Slide show in the library: Black Forest. The geographer Gabriele Krenkler and Dr. Karl-Peter Krenkler carry you off to the story of the Black Forest. Sit back and enjoy. Thursday, October 14th "A foaming great pleasure" is the topic of the wine tasting! Look forward to an interesting wine cellar tour and a wine tasting with our Sommelier Jürgen Fendt. Friday, October 15th Family-Walk with the forester Hermann Rastetter and natural educationalist Barbara Ratz: “Natural family-walk around the Ellbach valley”. We start our walk at the Hotel Bareiss and walk along the Ellbach to the game reserve. There we have the possibility to see a gorgeous deer with its familiy. On the little hike we will hear interstings things about the local flora and fauna. An idyllic walk for everyone. Tuesday, October 19th The nostalgic Coffee Break The tradition of drinking coffee with the family is practically a forgotten ritual. We have renamed this tradition: the nostalgic coffee break. Savour sweet delicacies in accordance with grandmother’s secret recipes in the wonderful atmosphere provided by the Morlokhof. Wednesday, October 20th Get in the mood and allow yourself to be bewitched by the classical sounds provided by our concert with bassoon and piano in our library today. Saturday, October 23rd Walk with Hermine Hartmann: Around Ottenhöfen with sightseeing of mills. Starting in Ottenhöfen we walk on natural pathways along the Acher-river. Then we will have a comfortable break in an old farm and see how mills are working. On our way back to the starting point we have splendid views over the Baden valley. Tuesday, October 26th Guided kitchen tour! Don’t miss the opportunity und look behind the scenes – in our kitchen and its organisation. Friday, October 29th Walk with forest warden Hermann Rastetter: “From Zuflucht to Renchtalhütte”. We start at plateau of “Zuflucht” and walk downhill. On our trip we have a nice view over the Upper Rhine Valley and the southern Black Forest. After a short stop for comfortable in the “Renchtalhütte” we walk uphill to the plateau of “Zuflucht”.
