When the hotelier Hermann Bareiss acquired this farmstead dating back to 1790 with the intention of restoring it authentically in 2003, the motive was to keep tradition alive and bring history home to people. It is numbered among the oldest, best preserved farmsteads in the Upper Murgtal. There are three buildings in all – the main house with barn, the “hereditary section” (provision for the old folk) and bakery together with two vegetable gardens. Conducted tours are held within the scope of the Holiday Programme. In addition, the farmstead is available for events and fests in conjunction with catering facilities as from July 2007. |
