The Forellenhof has 13 breeding ponds.
Rainbow trout, salmon trout, brook trout, golden trout and char are bred here.
The fish receive high-quality and species-appropriate food. The water temperature of the breeding ponds is between 6 °C and 18 °C, depending on the season. Trout prefer pH-neutral water with a pH of between 7 and 8. Each pond is constantly monitored.
The water in the breeding ponds is pure unpolluted spring water, directly from the source of the Leinenbächle stream.
We have been able to gain two experienced and qualified fish farmers to manage the farm: Richard Eifler and Sebastian Treß – who have taken over the tasks from Jürgen Sigwart.
