German Gastronomy Prize ‘Lifetime Award’

Hermann Bareiss was presented with the German Gastronomy Prize ‘Lifetime Award’ in Berlin for his lifetime achievements. The Jury explained their decision as follows: “As a host and as a person he has set lasting standards in the hospitality sector.”

Catharina Cramer, Managing Partner of the Warsteiner Group and Patron of the prize, handed over the award on Monday evening during a gala event at the Axica Congress Centre in Berlin and said that “The awarding of the German Gastronomy Prizes every year represents a renewed expression of our respect and recognition for entrepreneurs who achieve something truly special in the hospitality sector.”

In his tribute speech Ernst Fischer, President of the German Hotels and Restaurants Association (DEHOGA), said: “Hermann Bareiss is a real beacon in our sector. He is one of Germany’s genuinely great hoteliers and family entrepreneurs. During recent decades he has repeatedly set new standards both as the man at the helm and as an outstanding host.”

The entire Bareiss team congratulates Hermann Bareiss most sincerely on this wonderful award.
