And we say, dear friends of Bareiss, dear friends of spring: come out into the open, into our beautiful Black Forest, the Baiersbronn hiking paradise and the National Park. Some of it is best done on foot. Everything can be done by bicycle or e-bike (you will find our suggestions on the next page). And anyone who would like to learn more about hiking, sport or the traditions of the region is warmly invited to our lecture series »Black Forest Evenings.« We have secured some excellent experts for you.
And after hiking, cycling and exploring, Bareiss awaits you – for relaxation in the pools and for culinary delight at the table.

As one of the last charcoal burners in Germany, he will offer insights into an almost forgotten craft, and cover working at the charcoal kiln, traditional charcoal-burning, and the close bond between people and forest.
