The »Dorfstuben« are really two parlours – both original farmhouse rooms from the 19th century. Those who celebrate here don’t need any »mood-maker«: the setting ensures that good spirits and fine conversation get underway spontaneously. And it is just as uncomplicated with the cuisine: you are familiar with the dishes, they remind you of good old Sunday cooking. The entire regional repertoire from savoury sausage salad, fresh trout, and venison cuts from the Bareiss hunting ground, to venison ragout and Swabian apple fritters. Weather permitting, we serve the aperitif on the terrace.
An ambiance with class, for classical cuisine, awaits the guest in the »Kaminstube«.
A critic once wrote: »The sun always shines here, even if it’s raining outside.« This is due to the light and warm natural colours that give the atmosphere a temperature that triggers an immediate sense of wellbeing. The taste and class of the furnishings indicate that: you can only thrive among such elegance – this will be a lovely afternoon, a wonderful evening, a super party.
The cuisine: the classical cooked contemporarily. A pike-perch in red wine butter, veal cheeks in truffle stock, saddle of lamb with chorizo risotto. The »Kaminstube« is the classic restaurant for taking guests out for a fine meal. You get nicely dressed up, feel sophisticated. And also feel that you are in good hands when it comes to the service. This is, as throughout the Bareiss, courteous and attentive, well-mannered and amiable.

It’s all in the arrangement of the folds at the Restaurant Bareiss: from the empire-style furniture, through fine silver and porcelain, to luxuriant floral decorations. Restaurant Director Thomas Brandt has been »Host of the Year« several times. And the Wine Cellar also has the best of wines that our Sommelier Teoman Mezda can recommend. It is a Garden of Eden: the Buhlbach conservation area. It is a piece of history: the 100-year-old trout farm. And the two guest parlours: they are real Bareiss hospitality.
Those seeking the picture-book Black Forest for their get-together or event will find the Forellenhof perfect. The location in Buhlbach is as pretty as a picture. And the Forellenhof itself is a Black Forest dream house: built in the tradition of a farming estate from the 19th century – the ideal set for a film.
Though filming is not taking place here – celebrations take place here. The »Forellenstube« and the »Buhlbachstube« are ideal for this. Because whether an elegant party is planned, or a more rsutic party; whether »calm« or more »event-like«, e.g. in connection with the historical fish farm – everything can be arranged here in the way that you imagine, and how you imagine it for your guests. And the cuisine? The rooms of the estate are different sizes. Ideally suited for small and large groups in an intimate setting. And ideal for prestigious parties, for every occasion that should represent the highlight of the year. We at the Bareiss have a lot of experience with them. We advise you during the preparations, and implement your individual ideas.
Decadal birthdays, the employee or company jubilee, the Christmas party, or for comfortable brainstorming during which one comes upon other good ideas – the Morlokhof is ideally suited for this: unique for the exceptional occasion.
Vernissages, concerts, authors’ readings – the Morlokhof offers the arts a stage steeped in history for impressive performances.
Not every occasion for a party is also an occasion for a dinner jacket or the little black number. Some prefer it uncomplicated and relaxed. And tasteful.
The Sattelei has the right ambience for this. Whether celebrating completion of university entrance examinations, a birthday, a company jubilee, the Christmas Party and the annual celebration, or a family party.
The furnishing of the Sattelei is »Bareiss-like« in hiking cabin format. Rustic with class. The plain tables are laid sophisticatedly. The service is informal and uncomplicated, as well as skilful, attentive and amiable. As always at the Bareiss: parties at the Sattelei are not »off the shelf«.
